Position Details:
Title: District Sales Manager
Location: Los Angeles, CA - managing the LA/Orange County area
Shift: Mon-Friday 1st shift
Compensation: $115-$145k 1st year including target bonuses. 2nd
year potential +10-15%.

Travel: Local travel within the Sales Territory; direct
reimbursement for travel expenses.
Position Description:
Company is looking for a strong outside salesperson to manage the
Commercial & Industrial business from specification to close in the
Los Angeles Sales District, comprised of Ventura County and the
greater Los Angeles, and Inland Empire territories. Success in the
role will require building relationships and working seamlessly
with manufacturers' representative agent partners, and commercial
influencers including design and construction teams comprised of
architects, lighting designers, electrical engineers, commercial
contractors, developers, homebuilders, and direct channel partners
at electrical distribution and lighting showrooms.
Develop and execute a strategic plan for achieving assigned
specifications and sales targets in the district.
Plan and execute 12-15 in-person sales calls per week within the
assigned district.
Establish and cultivate business and professional relationships
with Company's rep partners, channel partners at electrical
distribution and Lighting Showrooms, and commercial influencers
(i.e. design and construction teams - architects, lighting
designers, electrical engineers, and interior designers).
Coordinate and assist with the execution of product, policy,
promotion, and business systems training for rep partners, channel
partners, and commercial influencers.
Maintain and grow a list of design team influencer accounts that
you will manage; coordinate accounts/individuals with the local rep
partner.
Call on assigned end-user and developer accounts to create demand
for Company products and generate national account agreements.
Develop strong contractor relationships within the territory and
use them to make Company their preferred downlight solution,
driving demand to stocking distributors.
Maintain and grow a list of existing stocking distributors in the
market doing regular counter days and training on new products.
Track Key Performance Indicators to measure and access performance
to plan.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
Mechanical aptitude
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Ability to tailor sales pitch appropriate to the audience and time
limitations.
Confidence in speaking in front of groups with strong interpersonal
and presentation skills.
