Job Description:

XYZ is looking for a highly motivated professional to serve as a Staff Accountant to perform cash management, vendor credit, process payroll, monitor invoicing and collections, assist with month-end closes, and other departmental duties as assigned. As the Staff Accountant, you will transact day-to-day accounting duties including but not limited to; assistance in preparation of various monthly reports, financial report consolidations, bank reconciliations, audits, internal document policies and procedures, and other projects as needed. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each Major duty satisfactorily. Job Duties:Assist in financial statement preparationAssist in tax preparationPerform check runsPerform bank reconciliations and trace discrepanciesReview 1099"s and W-2"sPrepare journal entriesMinimum Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience managing billing, accounts payable, and accounts receivableGood planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize workRecent experience working with QuickBooksAdvanced MS Excel skills requiredAnalytical and problem-solving skillsEffective communication skillsUnderstanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Analytical and accounting skillsAble to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environmentMinimum Education:Bachelor"s Degree preferable major in Accounting, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experienceXYZ is more than just a place to work.
